Unmute Podcast

New Intent is proud to announce the official launch of Unmute, a podcast dedicated to exploring human rights, diversity, equity, and inclusion within the global business events industry.

Hosted by New Intent founder Rory Archibald, Unmute features candid conversations with industry leaders, activists, creatives, and changemakers working at the intersection of business, events, and social justice. From the ethics of event supply chains to accessibility beyond compliance, the podcast aims to amplify the voices and topics often overlooked in mainstream event conversations.

Episode One Now Live

In the debut episode, host Rory Archibald sits down with Cameron Curtis, CEO of the LGBT Meeting Professionals Association, to explore what true inclusion looks like in today’s hostile political climate. From navigating safety concerns for LGBTQIA2+ delegates to the critical role of allyship, they explore how the events industry can create meaningful and brave spaces. With stories from Pride, bold reflections on DEI backlash, and a call to collective action, this is a must-listen for anyone who believes business events can and should drive change.

Why Unmute?

In Rory’s words:"The name reflects the experience so many have had—being in the room but silenced, or simply never being invited in. We want this platform to challenge norms, spotlight innovation, and help leaders create spaces where everyone is seen, heard, and valued."
